Islay Inn Glasgow

The Islay Inn

The Islay Inn reopened in August 2008 under new ownership. The pub has maintained its traditional roots with the help of all the teuchtars, young and old! There are live bands every Friday & Saturday, Open Mic Night every Sunday and a Jam Session on a Monday & Thursday, so come along and join the craic! Good food, good music and lots more! Slainte Mhath !

Great Food

We offer traditional pub food with many vegetarian options between 12 and 9pm every day. During that time, we warmly welcome families and provide a kids menu.

Live Music

Live bands every Friday and Saturday night. Mostly the bands play traditional Scottish and Irish music but you do get some American classics and a few chart song played as well, such bands include Crooked reel, Parting glass, Pneumatic drills and the Keelies.

Jam/Traditional Music: Monday & Tuesday night in the Islay Inn can be enjoyable for all, there are several groups of talented people that come along every week and play a host of traditional music. Monday is usually a group from the Stow college fiddlers workshop & Thursday is a more relaxed session with a number of different instruments.

Every Sunday is open mic night in the Islay. If you feel you have a bit of talent and would like to have a go just come along on any Sunday and let the bar staff know you would like to have a go. Soloists and bands are all welcome. Every performer gets a free drink for their troubles, so you can't go wrong.

Whisky Galore

We have a wide selection of Malt Whisky from all over Scotland including a host from Islay's seven distillery's. Advice and tasting guides will help you find your Malt Whisky.
